SPUR GEARS AND CHAIN SPROCKETS Our sophisticated gear cutting machines have a gear cutting capacity of 5.7m in diameter by 500mm face width. Our gear hobbing machines have a capacity of 2m in diameter and a face width of 730mm and 20 module pitch.   SINGLE HELICAL GEARS Capacity generally as specified under Spur gears, but with reduction in face width as helix angle increases. DOUBLE HELICAL GEARS Sunderland system: fixed 30 helix angle double helical gears up to 1.5m diameter, with a face width of 305mm and 16 module pitch. Hobbed double helical: on our hobbing machines we gear-cut a wide range of double helical gears up to 2m diameter, with a face width of 730mm, 18 module pitch and helix angle to suit customer requirements. Maag: Double helicals and special pitch gears up to 5.7m in diameter and 500mm face width. GEAR GRINDING - SPUR AND HELICAL GEARS On our Hofler, Raishauer & Niles Gear Grinding Machine we are capable of grinding Gear Teeth Flanks on Spur and Helical gears up to 800mm in diameter and a maximum face width of 230mm. Pitch range 2 module to 14 module. LEAD AND INVOLUTE CHECKING Capacity to check lead and involute form of Spur and Helical gears up to 800mm in diameter. WORM THREAD GRINDING For worm shafts requiring a high standard of finish particularly after heat treatment. We are able to thread Grind Worm Flanks to meet this requirement. INTERNAL GEARS We gear-cut Generated Gear Teeth up to 2200 pitch diameter, with a face width of 200mm and 10 module pitch. Larger internal gears are gear-cut using a form cutter. BEVEL GEARS Spiral: Gears up to 500mm and 12 module pitch. Straight: Straight tooth bevel gears up to 1525mm pitch diameter with a face width of 320mm and 25 module pitch. INTERNAL KEYWAYS & SPLINES Straight sided and involute splines up to 90mm wide with a length through bore of 710mm. EXTERNAL SPLINES Straight sided and involute splines on shafts up to 3 meters in length. GEAR TYPE COUPLINGS Manufacturers of gear couplings with barrelled teeth for applications where there is an amount of misalignment between driving and driven shafts. GENERAL ENGINEERING CNC Turning, conventional turning, milling, drilling and slotting. RACKS We gear-cut racks from 1 module to 8 module pitch. GEARBOX RECONDITIONING / REFURBISHING We are able to recondition all makes and most sizes of Industrial gearboxes.
